Tony Tilenni CPA (FPS) CTA
Certified Practising Accountant, Financial Planner
Chartered Taxation Advisor
Tony has been an Accountant and Taxation Agent since 1981 and from this time has been passionate and committed to helping clients achieve their personal and financial goals, ambitions and objectives.In 1997, Tony recognised the need to provide a total financial service to his clients and so in addition to the Practice providing Taxation, Business Services and Accounting advice, Tony extended services by offering Financial Planning advice as an Authorised Representative of Count Wealth Accountants, which has now been in existence for over 35 years.

From 2001 onwards, Tony received numerous annual Awards of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding achievements in providing professional financial planning advice to his clients. In reaching this milestone,   Tony became a Count ‘Star’ – a ‘Senior Wealth Adviser’ in Counts Top 50 advisers in Australia. The practice continues to be recognised as one of the TOP 10 Count advisory firms out of some 300 Count firms Australia wide.  In 2015, the firm became the largest Count firm in WA.

In 2015, Tony was also chosen from some 600 Count Advisers to receive the “Pinnacle Award” for his outstanding contribution to Count culture, the Financial Planning Industry and the Community.

Apart from Tony’s involvement with the practice, he was originally elected in 1986 onto the Presidium of the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF), which is recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), The International World Games Association and SportAccord.  In 2001, ‘The Year of the Volunteer’, individual Presidium Members received Diplomas from the IOC in recognition of their efforts.

Tony was elected as Treasurer of WDSF in 2007 and re-elected to the position in 2010 and 2013.

 

Nick Phillips CA CTA
Director of Accounting and TaxationNick is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Advisor and Registered Tax Agent.Nick joined the firm in 2007 as the Tax Manager and in December 2009 assumed the role of Director.

One of Nick’s major responsibilities is to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the accounting services. He ensures that all the accountants and the support staff work co-operatively and collaboratively in providing ‘service and support of excellence and professional standard’ to all clients.

In Nick’s 20 years in practice he has acquired expertise and experience across an extensive range of businesses and industries. He is committed to developing strong relationships with clients to ensure that he and the team are working side-by-side with clients to provide them with sound financial information, skills and resources to understand their tax and financial circumstances.

Outside of work Nick enjoys the lifestyle that living in Mandurah offers.

Financial Planning

Helen Tasker
Financial Planner – Authorised RepresentativeHelen commenced working with Tony Tilenni in 2000 after previously working for BankWest for 7 years.

Over the years her roles and responsibilities have evolved parallel to the growth and expansion of the firm from administration/accounting to now a comprehensive financial service.

Since 2002 Helen has been working with Tony Tilenni in the financial planning service within the firm. Her involvement commenced as a Support Person and in 2007 was awarded the National Support Person of the Year by Count Financial Limited.

In 2007 Helen also completed her Diploma of Financial Services and maintains her professional development as a Financial Planner and is an Authorised Representative of Count Wealth Accountants.

Helen is highly regarded and respected by her fellow support persons and financial planners in other firms. She is an active member and contributor of the Women in Financial Planning group which aims to assist and empower women to be more involved in the financial aspects of their lives.

Her energy, enthusiasm and commitment to clients and their individual circumstances has contributed to  Tilenni Stiles & Associates being recognised for service excellence and professionalism in financial planning over a number of years.

Helen’s interests are many and diverse but embraces each with her signature ‘energy’!

Tax & Accounting

Wendy Pinion-Jones BSc. ACA
Accounting and Taxation ManagerWendy is a senior Tax and Accounting Manager, providing business advisory services and taxation advice. A Chartered Accountant and Registered Tax Agent with over 20 years of experience, she has worked with the Tilenni Stiles team since 2011.Qualifying in the UK with top multinational professional services firm Ernst & Young, Wendy subsequently moved into industry working for Campbell Soup Company in the food manufacturing sector.  Following a management buy-out, two site disposals and a brand acquisition, Wendy was appointed Finance Director and remained so until departing for Australia in 2005.

Wendy has spent her time in Australia predominantly working in public practice; applying her wealth of experience with manufacturing and retailing entities to help understand and improve client’s business processes and cashflow.  Her passion and enthusiasm for all aspects of taxation and business advisory means that she is able offer clients a broad range of advice including business restructuring, new start-ups, wealth creation  and superannuation.

Outside of work Wendy likes to brush up on the negotiation and bribery skills required to be the mother of a seven year old.  She keeps fit and active and loves nothing more than a good book and a glass of wine.

Senior Taxation AdvisorGaz commenced working with the company in August 2013 with over 30 years experience working alongside business owners in both Australia and the United Kingdom.His career has been dedicated to roles in public practice, bringing wealth of experience in business structuring coupled with a broad range of experience in dealing with businesses from start-ups to well established companies.

Gaz has a real passion for people and always works closely with clients; he is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that their business is growing & profitable.

Extensively qualified, he is a Chartered Tax Adviser.

Outside of work, Gaz enjoys spending time with his family. He is soccer & rugby sports fan, while also enjoys weight training during the week.

 

Mark Carbone
AssociateMark graduated from Edith Cowan University (ECU) in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business majoring in Accounting. His interest in accounting emerged from his exposure to his family’s smash repair and automotive services small business. This experience and insight fostered his interest to study towards a profession which would give him the opportunity to support and provide advice to clients in understanding the ‘workings’ of their business, to know what they need to monitor towards them maximising their income and profitability.Mark joined the team in 2011 and is focused on providing accounting services to clients and self-managed superannuation funds (SMSF)

When Mark is away from work he describes himself as a ‘keen fisherman’ with the associated stories of the ‘fish that got away’! His passion for the motor car continues with Mark frequently volunteering at local car-club events. In recent years Mark has discovered the adventure of travel especially to South-East Asian countries.

Freda Crucitti

Client Services and Strategy DirectorFreda joined the team at Tilenni Stiles & Associates in 2002 after working for 15 years as a Psychologist and Program Manager with the now Disability Services Commission and a parent-centred organization, Parents as Educational Partners.Over the years in the firm her role and responsibilities have evolved as the firm has grown and expanded its service offering to clients – developing from a tax accounting to an accounting, business advisory and financial planning firm. In April 2015 she was appointed Director of Access Finance Partners Pty Ltd.

She has been committed and active in supporting the firm developing its culture towards ‘excellence in all that we do!’

Freda’s skills are in the area of relationship-building, communication, leadership, strategy and governance developed through her active involvement and participation in a diverse range of organisations and businesses.  She openly shares with the team her learning and insights as to the social and community issues that may be faced by clients.

Freda has been a member of the RAC Council since 1995, its President from 2005-2007 and the National President of the Australian Automobile Association (AAA) from 2007-2009. She is honoured to have been the first female to hold the position of President of both organisations. In addition to her role as a Councillor of the RAC she is a member of the RAC Sponsorship Committee focused on grant-making to the WA community. Currently Freda serves on the Steering Committee of the Road Trauma Support WA service and the Mercedes College Advisory Council

She holds membership of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD), the 33900 -The Australian Road Safety Collaboration, the Australasian College of Road Safety, the Injury Control Council WA and the Paraplegic Benefit Fund. Since February 2015 she became a member of the Australian National Committee for UN Women.

Freda has served as a board member and Chairperson of Therapy Focus Inc. and People Learn Productions Inc. In 2004 she was appointed by the state government and served for 6 years as a Lotterywest Commissioner. From November 2010-2013, Freda served as a member of the National Road Safety Council.

Freda has been married to Tony Tilenni since 1991 and together they have two adult children. Her interests are many and ever changing as her life journey continues.
